Hi. My name is Millo. I've started this blog to expose violations and criminality in the world. I'm motivated by feeling indignant, robbed and violated, by someone who I'm now going to shine some glaring light on (you might want to put your shades on).
I'm going to open up this blog to all and any that want to voice their dealings with thieves and liars and expose them for their injustices. This is a voice of indignation, not only just for me but for any who wish to write about their experiences and bring light to the any injustice they have been served by con men, liars, cheats etc.
I live in Portugal. I've been living here now for 4 years. I'm working on a Permaculture Reforestation Project in Serra da Estrela. Ever since I was a kid I always liked cars and since I arrived here in Portugal I fell in love with a Portuguese classic - a Portuguese icon in a sense - an UMM. Something solid and strong, something honest. Ironically, now that I've finally come to the point of having enough money to buy one, it's been served to me by a Portuguese man who was not only dishonest with me, but has not stood solid to any principles of good faith. His name is Cesar. This blog is a tribute to him.
I have a very low consideration of this man right now, but rather than burning in this fire I would rather give it back to him so that he can deal with the fire of his own karma. If he is an honourable and decent man then he will address this issue and resolve it with me. So far he has only ignored my plea and not showed any care or concern whatsoever. My plea to him is that I want my money back, because what I was sold (by him and his accomplice at FMotors) was under the pretense of a lie. Simple as that.
I also write this to my friends who read this, because this is what is happening in my life - These are the obstacles and challenges that I'm facing right now, therefore I feel that it's truthful to relate everything that is happening to me that has a direct impact on my project. It's not just about seed balls and making mulch. It's also about boundaries and understanding that boundaries are sacred and should be treated with due respect. Stealing from another person is a violation of those sacred boundaries.
Here is a photo of the UMM that I purchased from him:
Looks good right? Unfortunately it's full of problems. When I test drove it, it started first go. Ever since then every time I've started it I've had to get under the hood and pump the manual fuel pump for it to have chance of starting. He told me it was a 4 speed, but later discovered in fact that it was a 5 speed, just that the 5th gear didn't really work ( I got that verified by a very helpful guy who knows a lot about about UMM's). A few weeks later I couldn't get it into third gear anymore so was having to jump from 2nd to 4th. He advertised that the motor was 'rectificado' (reconditioned). He told me, and the mechanic that later called him that it was done 5 months ago. Several mechanics verified however that the motor was not reconditioned at all, but rather on it's way out (blowing smoke back through the breather pipe in the head which he was feeding back into the intake). When I found out the truth that I'd been conned I was so furious. I was planning on going up to find the man and confront him and his accomplice at FMotors, but I guess he has been saved by God. The starter motor broke down only recently so now I have no chance of getting it started now until that's fixed. In the mean time I will do my best to expose this crime. Let's see if the pen is mightier than the sword.
By this act he has proven to me that he has no respect for the time and energy it has taken me to save this money nor for the purpose I was going to use it. I told him during the course of our negotiations that I was struggling to make the amount he was asking, and yet he kept up his sociopathic game, knowing that the car wasn't worth what he was selling it for. It's a shame when I come across people that act more like leeches than humans.
I was going to use the vehicle as a means for making income. It's part of my calling to connect people back to the land and as a part of the Earth Neighbours project. I was going to act as an agent to help link people to land close to other projects that are interested in regenerating land in these abandoned parts of Portugal. I was also going to use it to do a reconnaissance of inspirational places around Portugal and Spain and and create a tour that could inspire people by seeing others that are living off grid in a more sustainable way. Now, this plan is having to go on hold indefinitely due to cost involved in having to get this vehicle repaired. I'm vexed!!!
I tried to call this guy and reason with him, but he doesn't want to listen to me. I could sense that he wasn't going to listen and I lost my temper and screamed at him over the phone with fire and rage - I screamed so loud that I'm sure the whole village below my farm could hear me. I KNOW that this man lied to me, and to lie is an act of fraud. Fraud is a criminal offence and therefore I ask for no forgiveness in calling this man an outright fraudulent criminal. I'm going to expose this fraud here and he can defend himself in the comments box if he feels he has any claim to. As far as I'm concerned I will not be removing this article until he acts to resolve this, should he choose to be a man rather than a coward. I can understand if he had no money and was poor, but he's got money. He drives around in a new Audi and robbing from people who have less than him, that's just low.
I will also be translating this article into Portuguese, sharing it and making it public across the internet and disseminating to his local and regional newspapers. (If anyone can help me with translation to Portuguese I would appreciate). I would like to let as many of his friends, colleagues and general public know what an act he has committed. He's put me in a position where I'm forced to serve him justice. It's time to give unto Cesar that which belongs to Cesar.
Let the truth be told. Bring light to the darkness I say. It's time to dance with fire ...
There were two parties involved in this 'con job'. One is the person who actually owned the vehicle. His name is Cesar Miguel Marques Maciel. An architect that lives in Barcelos. Here are some photos that I took from his Facebook page (it's a bit of shame having to post such ugly photos but so be it):
This is his facebook page. He's blocked me but if you're signed in to Facebook you may be able to see his page (He may however close his Facebook account once people find out about him). These are his details below:
Cesar Miguel Marques Maciel
Rua Vilar N67, Barcelos
4750 - 664
Tel: +351 932.467.553
He said to me that he was using the UMM for his bike business that he had there in Barcelos. From the photos below (from the signage on the UMM) I've found the name of the business. It's called Rurban Bikes. Here is his Facebook page.
Send him a postcard, give him a call, or pay him a visit. I'm sure he'd love your attention.
I don't know where he works but if anyone finds out I would like to know. I'm going to expose everything I can about his criminal actions and I will not stop until I get my money back along with the money to cover all my time and energy that I consume as a consequence of this lie that's been sold to me.
When I arrived to see the vehicle he had it parked in a stand. I asked him why it was in a stand and he said that it was just his friend trying to help him out. I don't know if the stand got any commission for the sale. The stand of his friend is called FMotors. The guy who runs it and who also told me that the motor was reconditioned is called Jorge Fernandes. This is the details of his friend and accomplice:
FMotors
Lama, 4750 Barcelos,
Braga, Portugal.
Email: fmotors@gmail.com
Tel: +351 965.327.168
I've tried to call him and tell him that he too is responsible, but he's decided to act like Pontius Pilate and wash his hands of any responsibility - another coward!
I have proof that it was advertised it with a reconditioned motor and I have proof that it was in the stand named above. I got some screen grabs from FMotors Facebook page:
Cesar told me at the time of selling it to me (13th of August 2015) that he'd had it for 2 years. As you can see from the dates above it had been on sale for around 18 months prior to me buying it so if what he told me is true then he only kept it for 6 months before trying to get rid of it. Perhaps he bought it from FMotors and then realised he'd bought a lemon and arranged for them to resell it for him again?
I want it to be clear that I'm not condoning violence by exposing this man. I'm just writing to expose this crime, so that I can voice my indignation. I have no other form of remediation right now. There is no consumer help or tribunal that will help me because I paid for the car in cash (2700 Euros) so I have no proof of sale but there was a change of registration from his name into mine so that's proof of exchange at least and enough to take to court. Let's see how many more lies he brings to the court room ...
From what this man and his accomplice have shown me they have no conscience or remorse when it comes to lying to make a sale. He advertised it as having a reconditioned motor and that's just nothing but a big lie. I demand my money back or I will bring them both the shame they deserve. I hope that they realise that by selling me a lie they've bought themselves a lot of trouble. Now they can take their poisonous lies that they served me back. Let's see how they swallow that!
